Responsibilities:
Analyze product requirements and create detailed hardware architecture and structured designs.
Perform circuit analysis, simulations, and experiments to validate design decisions.
Design electronic circuits using suitable components and systems.
Conduct schematic capture and circuit board layout (Altium Designer).
Design auxiliary tools, prototypes, and test interfaces.
Debug and troubleshoot circuits effectively.
Prepare detailed documentation to support the design throughout its life cycle.
Required Skills:
Must be eligible to reside and within Canada.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (required).
Experience in analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuit design.
Proficiency in schematic capture and circuit board layout (Altium Designer).
Knowledge of microcontroller-based systems and RF technologies (Bluetooth, LoRa, Wi-Fi, LTE, GNSS).
Familiarity with serial communication protocols (UART, SPI, I2C, USB-C, Ethernet).
Proficient with standard electronic test equipment.
Basic mechanical design knowledge to collaborate with industrial/mechanical designers.
Strong time management and interpersonal communication skills.
Desired Skills:
Experience with FCC/IC and safety certifications (e.g., IEC 61010, UN/DOT 38.3).
Expertise in USB-C Power Delivery and very low power design.
Knowledge of environmental sensing and industrial signaling (e.g., current loops).
