Forklift Operator
Adecco is currently hiring for a permanent, full-time Forklift Operator for our client in Ingleside, ON.
In this role you will have several functions including but not limited to forklift operation, receiving goods, picking orders, loading and unloading trailers, inventory and cycle counting, and operation of other warehouse equipment, general material handling and assisting other staff as required.

Responsibilities:
Conduct themselves in accordance with the Code of Conduct and EH&S Compliance Standards
100% of the time.
Follow all Client policies and procedures.
Work safely and comply with all Client safety prevention guidelines, policies, and procedures.
Understand and comply with all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s).
Manage personal performance to remain injury-free.
Demonstrate flexibility/adaptability in the work and work schedule in support of business needs.
(Show flexibility to schedule changes and overtime)
Taking direction from Supervisors, Manager and our customers and multi-tasking to
accomplish all requests.
Utilizing a forklift or end rider. Pick orders for shipment and move product to various locations
around the warehouse.
This includes moving product from manufacturing lines, warehouse bin locations, staging areas
and ensuring they are properly palletized for storage or shipment.
Completing primary and secondary verifications of picked orders.
Stretch wrapping and labeling of pallets for shipment.
Physical loading and unloading pallets from trailers using forklifts.
Placing and removing product from the pallet racking system as well as bulk storage or staging
locations.
Use of radio frequency equipment for picking, receiving, put away, and loading functions, as
required.
Basic knowledge of computers and inventory management software.
Operating all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods
Other activities include but not limited to:
Maintaining forklifts and batteries
Cleaning up debris on warehouse floor
Sorting inventory and re-organizing loose or stray products
Completing inventory and cycle counts to ensure good inventory controls are maintained.
Participation in toolbox talks.
Participate in HSSE training and meetings.
Responsible for other focal roles as deemed necessary (ie., racking inspection, maintaining spill
kits, battery, and forklift inspections...). Individual responsibilities will vary.
Any other duties deemed necessary.
Qualifications & Skills:
Must be eligible to work and reside within Canada
A high school education is required with proficiency in English both written and spoken / French would be an asset
1-5 years working in a warehouse environment
Current forklift operation certificate (Required).
Experience with end rider (desired but not essential).
Workplace safety training such as WHMIS.
Successful completion of HSSE testing (Required).
Fall arrest training (desired but not essential).
TDG training (desired but not essential).
Ability of lifting up to 50 lbs.
