Forklift Operator - Counterbalance

Adecco is currently hiring a full-time experienced Sit-Down Counterbalance Forklift Operator to join our client’s warehouse team in Ladysmith, BC. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a sit-down counterbalance forklift to move, load, and unload materials, ensuring the safe and efficient handling of goods. You will also assist with general warehouse duties and help maintain a clean, organized work environment.

• Pay Rate: $24.00/hour

• Location: Ladysmith, BC

• Shift: 9am-4pm and 4pm-12am PDT (Mon-Sun: Must be able to work 7 days a week)

Responsibilities:

• Operate a Sit-Down Counterbalance Forklift.

• Perform receiving, shipping, and packaging duties.

• Work with warehouse management systems.

• Operate an RF Scanner and other handheld equipment.

• Maintain and update daily equipment logs.

• Perform loading/unloading inventory from trucks.

• Rack finished goods, move inventory within the warehouse, and stack product.

• Load product onto trucks according to loading process

• Assure proper quantities against bills of lading.

• Stage product.

• Performs daily safety and operational check of forklift.

• Lift items that weigh up to 50Lbs.

Qualifications:

• Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada

• Must be certified on a Sit-Down Counterbalance Forklift.

• Must be able to work in a fast paced and metric driven environment.

• Ability to work with warehouse management system.

• Must be able flexible with work schedule.

• Must be able lift to 50 pounds and work in cold environment.

• High school diploma or GED required.

• Prior experience working in a fast-paced distribution environment highly preferred.

• Must possess excellent customer service skills.

• Effective verbal & written communications.

• Strong organizational skills.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, and Outlook).

• Steel Toe boots required.
