Adecco is actively seeking a skilled and analytical Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst to join our client’s growing team in Calgary, AB. The successful candidate will play a key role in forecasting, budgeting, and providing insights that drive business strategy and financial performance. Responsibilities:  

  • Build and maintain complex financial models for forecasting (e.g., Free Cash Flow, Gross Margin, EBITDA), budgeting, and long-range planning.

  • Deliver monthly and quarterly variance analyses, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities across products and geographies.

  • Support earnings releases and board-level reporting with clear and concise financial commentary.

  • Partner with business unit leaders to evaluate performance and drive strategic initiatives.

  • Analyze financial and operational metrics to optimize margins and improve efficiency.

  • Conduct scenario analysis and business case modelling for new markets, product launches, and capital investments.

  • Ensure compliance with SOX requirements in a public company setting.

  • Collaborate with accounting and operations teams to maintain data accuracy and financial alignment.

  • Uphold confidentiality and integrity in all aspects of financial reporting.

Requirements:  

  • Legal eligibility to work and reside in Canada.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (CPA designation required).

  • 2–5 years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or business analysis, ideally in a regulated or multi-entity environment.

  • Strong background in financial modelling and advanced Excel skills.

  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Sage, NetSuite, SAP) and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Adaptive).

  • Solid understanding of IFRS and public company reporting standards.

  • Experience in the cannabis, CPG, retail, or manufacturing sectors is a strong asset.

  • Exceptional analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
