Financial Analyst

Adecco is currently seeking a detail-oriented Financial Analyst for a temporary role in Ottawa, ON, at $35.50 per hour. You will support month-end close processes, analyze financial data, produce business reviews, and develop automation solutions using tools like Excel and Power BI to streamline reporting and enhance decision-making. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience with advanced financial tools while contributing to key business initiatives.

• Pay rate: $35.50/hour.

• Location: Ottawa, ON

• Shifts: Monday-Friday 9:00am - 5pm

• Job type: Temporary | Full-time

Responsibilities:

• Produce Customer Business Reviews and analyze financial data for decision-making.

• Perform Excess and Obsolete (E&O) analysis and journal entries monthly.

• Execute month-end financial close processes and support reporting requirements.

• Identify, escalate, and resolve urgent or sensitive financial issues with management.

• Develop and maintain automation solutions to improve reporting efficiency using Power BI, Power Automate, Power Pivot, Power Query, SmartSheet, or similar tools.

• Perform ad hoc financial and business analysis as assigned.

Requirements:

• Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.

• Financial analyst or accounting background

• Minimum 2+ years’ experience in financial analysis or accounting roles

• Advanced Excel skills with the ability to create automation from scratch

• Familiarity with Power BI, Power Automate, Power Pivot, Power Query, SmartSheet, or other automation tools

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications is a plus

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is an asset
