Financial Analyst

Adecco is currently hiring a full-time detail-oriented and proactive Financial Analyst / Accountant to join our client’s finance team. This role is responsible for managing month-end close activities, financial reporting, reconciliations, and supporting forecasting processes. This role requires you to have strong analytical skills, advanced Excel proficiency, and experience in financial operations within an insurance or brokerage environment.

• Pay Rate: $27.18/hour

• Location: Mississauga, ON

• Shift: 8:00am – 4:30pm

Responsibilities:

• Perform month-end financial close activities, including reporting and variance analysis

• Process monthly commissions and reconcile Retail Sales Tax (RST)

• Manage daily incoming payments and complete weekly bank reconciliations

• Prepare cheque deposits and issue payments as required

• Reconcile Accounts Payable, resolve discrepancies, and ensure timely payments to insurance companies

• Monitor aged receivables and bank accounts, including interbank transfers

• Prepare internal financial and control reports for management review

• Support quarterly forecasting, variance analysis, and target preparation

• Respond to global HQ inquiries and process intercompany journal entries

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in financial reporting, accounting, or financial analysis

• Experience within insurance or brokerage environments is an asset

• Degree or diploma in Finance, Accounting, or a related field

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

• Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
