Adecco, in partnership with out client, is currently hiring a full-time experienced Equipment Service Technician to join our client’s growing service team in Oshawa, Ontario. This is an excellent long-term opportunity for a mechanically inclined professional who excels in heavy equipment maintenance, field service, and diagnostic troubleshooting. You will ensure aggregate and recycling equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably while delivering exceptional customer support across Ontario.

  • Pay Rate: $66,000 – $80,000 annually

  • Location: Oshawa, ON

Responsibilities:

Equipment Maintenance & Repair

  • Perform mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical repairs on heavy equipment used in aggregate and recycling operations.

  • Conduct onsite service calls across Ontario, ensuring quick and efficient response times.

  • Diagnose equipment issues using established troubleshooting techniques and repair standards.

  • Execute preventive maintenance to extend equipment lifespan and reduce downtime.

Technical Documentation

  • Complete detailed service reports, maintenance logs, and inspection records in accordance with company procedures.

  • Communicate repair findings, recommendations, and required parts to supervisors and customers.

Field Service Operations

  • Plan and assess required work before beginning service tasks.

  • Maintain a clean, organized service vehicle and work area at all times.

  • Ensure all repairs and maintenance comply with internal safety policies and provincial regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Heavy Equipment Technician, Mechanic, or similar hands-on role.

  • Strong working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.

  • Proficiency with diagnostic tools, power tools, and repair techniques.

  • Valid G Class Driver’s License with a clean driving record.

  • Ability to pass a clean criminal background check.

  • Experience with hydraulic or electrical assembly (asset).

  • Strong communication and customer service skills during onsite service interactions.

  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced field environment.

  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
