Adecco is currently seeking a skilled Electronics Technician to join our clients team for a temporary to permanent role in Whitby, ON. This position offers a competitive hourly rate of $19 - $22 and involves a variety of technical tasks including inspection, testing, and database management.   • Pay rate: $20/hour.

  • Location: Whitby, ON

  • Shifts: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm

  • Job type: Temporary to possibly permanent | Full-time

Responsibilities:

  • Execute tasks given by Supervisors based on your skill set.

  • Conduct visual inspections of items, verify tags against work orders, and identify any damaged or missing parts.

  • Perform pretests to diagnose issues and implement Engineering Changes.

  • If parts are out of stock, update the database by placing the unit on hold with complete part information, and mark with an orange dot on the repair tag. Place the item on hold yourself.

  • Test for functionality, quality, and BIOS updates. Once repaired, mark the repair tag with a green dot.

  • Assess items for NER (Not Economically Repairable) only if physical damage or irreparable parts are present. NER decisions are made by Customer Support.

  • Send items to the Refurbishing department twice daily after passing all checks.

  • Advise Customer Support of the status of all rush/critical repairs (e.g., "yellow dots").

  • Ensure all required information is updated in the database.

Requirements:

  • Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.

  • Electrical experience required; certification preferred.

  • Strong attention to detail, ability to perform pretests, and good organizational skills.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Able to pass a criminal check,

  • Must have steel-toe work boots.
