Electrical Engineer

Adecco in partnership with our client, a highly respected and rapidly growing engineering consultancy, is currently hiring full-time Electrical Engineering Consultants at multiple experience levels to join their dynamic team. We are seeking professionals passionate about delivering innovative solutions in substation engineering, protection & control (P&C), and power systems across Canada’s most impactful industrial and utility-scale projects.

• Pay Rate: up to $150 000 (based on experience)

• Location: Surrey, BC

Responsibilities:

• Design and engineering for substations, power systems, and industrial facilities

• Develop protection & control systems, including relay protection, schematics, and studies

• Prepare technical reports, calculations, and complete design packages

• Coordinate utility interconnections and grid compliance

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, utilities, and contractors

• Provide construction support, site involvement, and commissioning exposure

• Mentor junior engineers (Intermediate and Senior levels)

Qualifications:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience

• Background in utilities, power generation, or heavy industry

• Experience or strong interest in substations, P&C, or power systems

• Excellent interpersonal and technical communication skills

• Substation engineering (medium & high voltage)

• Protection & Control systems: relay protection, control schematics, and studies

• Power systems engineering: generation, transmission, and distribution

• Utility interconnection and grid coordination

• Industrial electrical systems for heavy industry environments

• Strong communication skills and a consultative, collaborative mindset

• Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
