Driver Helper

Adecco is currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Oil Delivery Driver Helper to join our team in New Glasgow, NS. In this position, you’ll assist the driver in delivering home heating oil to residential and commercial customers throughout the region. This is a physically active role that’s perfect for someone who enjoys working outdoors and being part of a dependable team.

• Pay rate: $17/hour.

• Location: New Glasgow, NS

• Shifts: 6:00am-3:00pm

• Job type: Temporary with the possibility of becoming permanent | Full-time

Responsibilities:

• Assist the driver with heating oil deliveries to homes and businesses

• Help connect hoses and manage equipment during delivery

• Load and unload hoses, tools, and related materials

• Provide excellent customer service during each delivery

• Ensure safety procedures and environmental standards are followed at all times

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the delivery truck and work area

Requirements:

• Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.

• Strong work ethic and reliability

• Physically capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.

• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions

• Team-oriented with good communication skills

• Must have steel-toe boots (other PPE provided)

• Valid driver’s license is an asset but not required for this helper role

• Must have reliable transportation as locations is not accessible with public transportation
