Adecco is actively seeking a compassionate and dedicated Daycare Worker for a full-time role at a daycare facility in Gold River, BC. In this position, you will be responsible for ensuring the well-being and development of children in a safe and nurturing environment. You will assist in planning and implementing programs, preparing meals, and providing care to children while fostering positive relationships with both parents and team members.
  • Pay Rate: $17.45 to $19.75 per hour (Dependent on education/experience)
  • Location: Gold River, BC.
  • Job type: Permanent | Full-time
Responsibilities:  
  • Help plan and implement daycare programs, ensuring the focus is culturally sensitive and covers healthy topics.
  • Plan, prepare, and serve nutritious meals to children.
  • Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of children under your care.
  • Lead, demonstrate, and encourage children’s activities throughout the day.
  • Address any parental questions and concerns, referring them to the Daycare Supervisor when needed.
  • Document observations of children and complete required reports.
  • Work with the daycare team to develop and implement program improvements.
  • Ensure all daycare policies, rules, and guidelines for developmentally appropriate behavior are followed.
  • Build and maintain professional working relationships with parents and caregivers.
  • Help maintain a clean, safe, and nurturing environment for children.
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned within the daycare.
Requirements:  
  • Legal eligibility to work and reside in Canada.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work well in team settings.
  • Ability to take initiative and prioritize tasks.
  • Professional, responsive, with a positive work attitude.
  • Experience with and an understanding of the importance of client confidentiality.
  • Physical ability to carry and lift up to 45 pounds.
  • Position is a combination of standing and sitting.
  • For this opportunity, a vehicle is needed for this position to commute to work as the education center is located on the reserve, short drive from Gold River, B.C.
  • A RCMP vulnerable check is required.
