Adecco is actively seeking a Daycare Worker for a full-time position located in Gold River, BC. In this role, you will assist in planning and implementing programs, guiding children throughout their day, ensuring their well-being, and creating a positive, safe environment.
  • Pay Rate: $17.45-$19.75/hour dependent on education and experience.
  • Location: Gold River, BC
  • Shift: 40 hours per week
  • Job type: Permanent | Full-time
Responsibilities:  
  • Assist in the planning and implementation of programs, ensuring they are culturally sensitive and address healthy topics.
  • Plan, prepare, and serve nutritious meals to the children.
  • Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of the children in your care.
  • Guide, demonstrate, and encourage children's activities throughout the day.
  • Assist with parental questions and concerns, referring them to the Daycare Supervisor when necessary.
  • Document observations on the children and complete any required reports.
  • Collaborate with the daycare team to develop and implement program improvements.
  • Adhere to daycare policies, rules, and guidelines for developmentally appropriate behavior.
  • Build and maintain professional working relationships with parents and caregivers.
  • Help maintain a clean and safe daycare environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned within the daycare.
Requirements:  
  • Legal eligibility to work and reside in Canada.
  • Previous daycare or childcare experience is an asset.
  • Knowledge and understanding of child development, and the ability to create age-appropriate activities.
  • Experience in meal planning and preparation, ensuring meals are nutritious and cater to children's dietary needs.
  • A commitment to maintaining a safe and supportive environment for children and families.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills required.
  • Ability to work well in a team setting and take initiative.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Must have a positive, professional attitude and be responsive.
  • Experience with client confidentiality is essential.
  • Physical ability to carry and lift up to 45 pounds.
  • The position involves a combination of standing and sitting.
  • A vehicle is required to commute to the daycare, located on the reserve just outside Gold River, BC.
  • An RCMP vulnerable sector check is required for this role.
