Adecco is currently hiring a motivated and detail-oriented Credit Associate to join our client’s team on a temporary, full-time basis. This role requires you to possess strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate tactfully yet firmly with customers to obtain credit memos in a timely manner and resolve credit discrepancies. This is an in-office position requiring effective collaboration with various departments and a high degree of accuracy.

  • Pay Rate: $20.50/hour

  • Location: North York, ON (in office)

  • Shift: 40h per week

  • Job type: Long term contract | Full-time

Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with customers to follow up on credit memos and resolve credit discrepancies in a timely and professional manner

  • Accurately enter and maintain financial data in internal systems

  • Reconcile customer accounts and resolve payment issues or inconsistencies

  • Collaborate with internal departments including Sales and Accounts Payable to resolve issues and support credit-related processes

  • Analyze account information to identify and resolve outstanding credit issues

  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to credit transactions

  • Prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet deadlines

Qualifications:

  • Background or qualification in accounting is a strong asset

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and Google Docs

  • Strong data entry skills with a focus on accuracy and efficiency

  • Experience with account reconciliation and resolving discrepancies

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to communicate with customers firmly yet tactfully to resolve issues

  • Comfortable working collaboratively with team members across departments

  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy

  • Effective problem-solving and analytical thinking skills

  • Strong time management and organizational abilities

  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
