- Direct and coordinate all construction activities to ensure compliance with design specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations.
- Provide technical expertise and innovative solutions throughout planning, design, and execution phases.
- Review and interpret construction drawings, technical documents, and project specifications to guarantee regulatory and design compliance.
- Conduct site inspections and oversee quality control to monitor progress, resolve issues, and maintain safety standards.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to achieve project milestones on time and within budget.
- Prepare and manage project documentation, including progress reports, inspection records, and compliance submissions.
- Support resource planning and procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring timely delivery and cost efficiency.
- Identify potential risks and implement corrective measures to prevent delays or budget overruns.
- Mentor junior engineers, offering technical guidance and fostering professional growth.
- Promote environmental sustainability and best practices throughout all construction phases.
- Monitor and control project costs to ensure adherence to financial constraints.
- Legal eligibility to work and reside in Canada.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a construction-related field.
- P.Eng. or P.E. designation preferred.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in the construction industry, preferably with large-scale industrial facility projects.
- Strong experience managing technical aspects of construction projects, including earthwork, foundations, and buried piping.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage budgets, and meet project deadlines.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
