Condition Based Monitoring Specialist

Adecco is currently hiring a full-time Condition-Based Monitoring (CBM) Specialist to join our client’s team in Fort McMurray, AB. In this critical role, you will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and improving equipment reliability by implementing predictive maintenance strategies. You’ll use advanced diagnostic tools and data analytics to identify potential equipment failures before they occur—helping to enhance operational efficiency, minimize downtime, and reduce maintenance costs.
Salary: $35 - $55/hr (depending on experience)
Location: For McMurray, AB
Shift: Monday to Friday | 7:30am – 4:00pm

Responsibilities:
Create detailed inspection packages for piping systems based on time-based, condition-based, or risk-based inspection methodologies.
Review Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) results and determine corrosion rates, Probability of Failure (PoF), and associated Financial and Safety, Health & Environmental (SHE) risks.
Provide recommendations for maintenance interventions or future inspections based on analysis findings.
Collaborate with stakeholders on piping circuits with higher corrosion rates and manage inspection deferrals when necessary.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to achieve zero overdue piping inspections within assigned units.
Ensure all work aligns with site safety, reliability, and operational excellence standards.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Science – Materials Engineering, or a Technologist diploma in a related field.
1–5 years of experience in piping inspection, welding, or materials engineering.
Mechanical Engineer with piping inspection experience.
Registered as Engineer in Training (E.I.T) with APEGA
Materials Engineer with knowledge of damage mechanisms and inspection techniques.
QA Inspector experienced in piping inspection
Strong understanding of corrosion mechanisms and failure analysis.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, inspection reports, and technical data.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Commitment to maintaining the highest safety standards.
Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
