- Lead the development and implementation of compensation, benefits, and pension programs.
- Collaborate with business leaders locally and with global teams to ensure alignment with international standards.
- Ensure compliance with Canadian regulations, including CPP, EI, and provincial health regulations.
- Design cost-effective strategies for compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitiveness within the market.
- Analyze compensation policies in relation to Canadian wage laws, market trends, and company goals.
- Partner with HRBPs, payroll, and finance teams on compensation data needs, budget planning, and salary reviews.
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate fees related to benefit plan administration.
- Lead strategic direction for health, welfare, retirement (DC plans, RSPs), and other employee benefits.
- Oversee the annual benefits design process, benchmarking against market standards to ensure competitive offerings.
- Serve as the main point of contact for employees regarding benefits plans.
- Administer Defined Contribution (DC) pension plans and Registered Savings Plans (RSPs).
- Drive the annual benefits enrollment process for employees and retirees.
- Lead market research on compensation benchmarking and total rewards.
- Administer salary reviews, annual bonus programs, and special salary adjustments.
- Collaborate with Finance and business leaders to manage budgets, communicate changes, and implement pay philosophy strategies.
- Develop compensation packages for new hires that ensure competitive pay and alignment with company values.
- Legal eligibility to work and reside in Canada.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Sociology, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may also be considered.
- 5+ years of direct compensation experience in large organizations, ideally with exposure to rapidly scaling or dynamic environments.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data and provide actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Project management experience is an asset.
- Proficiency in Excel and MS Office. Experience with HR SAP and SuccessFactors is a plus.
- Ability to plan, schedule, and deliver both long-term and short-term projects.
- Ability to manage and scale compensation and benefits programs in a growing organization.
