Adecco is currently hiring a full-time skilled and experienced Commissioning & Systems Lead to oversee the commissioning, integration, and handover of complex systems and infrastructure for our client in Sarnia, ON. This role plays a critical part in ensuring all systems function according to design specifications, safety standards, and operational requirements. Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement commissioning philosophy, procedures, tools, and best practices

  • Manage onboarding and oversight of the Commissioning & Completions Contractor

  • Act as the primary liaison between commissioning contractor and key project stakeholders (Engineering, Construction, Modularization)

  • Ensure accurate setup and maintenance of the Systems Completion database (Hexagon)

  • Coordinate Mechanical Completion (MC) to Turnover (T/O) planning and execution

  • Align commissioning and construction schedules, including pre-commissioning and dry commissioning activities

  • Oversee system turnover to Operations Start-Up team

  • Identify and manage commissioning and startup risks

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years of commissioning and systems completions experience

  • Refining or Chemicals Plant experience strongly preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering

  • Advanced proficiency in Hexagon Systems Completion (SC) database

  • Strong leadership, organizational, and coordination abilities

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Adaptable to tight deadlines, shifting priorities, and high-pressure environments

  • Fluent in English (written and verbal)

  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
