As a CNC Machinist in a precision manufacturing environment, you’ll work hands-on with advanced machinery to produce components that power industries – from aerospace to automation. This is more than a job – It’s a career built on purpose and long-term stability.
What Is CNC Machining?
CNC stands for Computer Numerical Control. This technology converts designs produced by Computer-Aided Design (CAD) Computer-Aided Manufacture (CAM software into code. This code directs the movement of a CNC machine’s cutter, which tool, what speed and feed and other instructions.
What Does a CNC Operator Do?
CNC Operators work with machines such as drills, lathes, mills, and presses to shape metals and plastics into finished parts or workpieces. Their responsibilities include:
Reading work instructions
Loading of Fixtures and Tooling including setting Datums and Tool Offset's
Loading materials or workpieces into the machine, up to 50 lb.
Starting and monitoring machine operations to ensure proper performance
Unloading and inspecting finished parts/workpieces to ensure they meet quality standards and technical specifications
Deburring and/or polishing completed parts/workpieces
Maintaining a clean, well-organized workstation
What Does This Job Offer?
