Responsibilities:
Specific duties this role will be expected to perform include:

  • Research: Conducting research on existing business processes, including any applicable processes, work instructions, plans, etc.

  • Process analysis: Collaborating with key stakeholders across departments to identify, document, and analyze existing business processes and controls.

  • Data collection: Gathering relevant data and information through surveys, interviews, workshops, and data analysis tools to understand current workflows and performance metrics.

  • Process mapping: Creating accurate process maps and flowcharts to represent current processes and highlight areas for improvement accurately.

  • Identifying inefficiencies: Analyze processes to identify bottlenecks, redundancies, and inefficiencies that hinder productivity and performance.

  • Data analysis: Utilizing data analysis tools and techniques to identify trends, patterns, and areas for process improvement/standardization.

  • Recommendations/problem-solving: Assisting in developing recommendations and solutions to optimize and streamline processes and enhance efficiency.

  • Documentation:  Maintaining clear and concise documentation of current and future-state processes, including work instructions, processes, plans, etc.

  • Stakeholder communication: Collaborating and facilitating workshops with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to gather input, feedback, and requirements for process improvements.

  • Testing and validation: Participating and leading testing and validation of new processes to ensure they meet specified objectives and requirements.

  • Training: Assisting in the development and delivery of training materials and sessions to ensure proper implementation of new processes and/or software.

  • Monitoring and reporting: Continuously monitor and assess the performance of optimized processes, providing regular reports and adjusting as necessary.

  • Compliance: Ensuring all recommended process changes comply with relevant regulations and industry standards.

  • Technology utilization/automation: Leveraging technology and software tools to automate and streamline processes.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Engineering is required.

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.

  • Proficiency with MS Excel, MS Word, SharePoint, and MS Visio.

  • Basic understanding of project management principles.

  • Knowledge and experience with business process improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean) is beneficial.

  • Ability to create clear and concise process documentation, including procedures and work instructions.

  • Capability to write business reports.

  • A valid Saskatchewan driver’s license is an asset.

  • Strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

  • Detail-oriented and organized with outstanding problem-solving abilities.

  • Strong research skills.

  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work both in a team and independently.

  • Available to start in early July 2024.

  • Legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
