Accountant - General

Adecco is actively seeking a meticulous and experienced Accountant - General to join our client’s team in Gold River, BC. As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance, and assisting with budgeting and financial planning. This full-time position offers a competitive hourly wage and the benefit of accommodations for the first 90 days. You will be part of a dynamic team working in a remote community, requiring a vehicle to access the location.

• Pay Rate: $28-$32/hour.

• Location: Gold River, BC

• Shift: 31.5 hours weekly (every Friday afternoon off)

• Job type: Permanent | Full-time

Responsibilities:  

• Maintain accurate, up-to-date financial records (general ledgers, financial statements, etc.).

• Record purchases, sales revenue, invoices, and payments.

• Reconcile bank statements and other accounts.

• Prepare trial balances and other financial reports.

• Assist in preparing and monitoring budgets under the guidance of the Finance Manager.

• Ensure adherence to relevant accounting standards and procedures.

• Monitor and analyze accounting data to identify trends or issues.

• Prepare invoices, process payments, and assist with audits or other assignments as needed

Requirements:  

• Legal eligibility to work and reside in Canada.

• Diploma in Bookkeeping or Accounting (or other recognized accounting/designation).

• Certified full-cycle accounting credentials are an asset.

• A minimum of 3 years in bookkeeping or accounting roles.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, etc.).

• Experience with accounting software (Xyntax & Payworks preferred).

• A vehicle is required due to the remote community location.
