This opportunity will allow you to work in a professional financial/investment firm as you put your dynamic bookkeeping skills and experience to use. The responsibilities of the Bookkeeper job opening in Toronto, ON may include, but are not limited to:
Support the team with various bookkeeping functions while supporting other ad hoc needs
Full cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions
Verification of invoices, ensure proper backup documentation and processed in a timely manner
Follow up on outstanding payments
Reconcile and post various payment transactions
Payroll administration including benefits processing and support
Communicate with customers/vendors via phone and email
HST/GST/tax remittances
Corporate and personal tax
Research and analyze costs associated with office equipment, supplies, services etc.
Report generation; typing up documents and generating reports
Support with audits, financial statements and related functions
Various related tasks as needed to support a small, dynamic professional office.
The qualifications for the Bookkeeper job opening in Toronto, ON include:
At least 3-5 years experience in a full-cycle Bookkeeper or Accountant capacity preferably with administrative functions as part of your role; must have some payroll experience
Completed post-secondary education in Accounting or related field
Proficient all in MS Office programs and QBO - QuickBooks Online is required
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Team player with a client centric approach
Strong organization skills and the ability to take initiative and problem solve as second nature
Flexible, willing, positive, can do attitude to work in a smaller, close-knit setting
Bring ideas/suggestions to the table; forward thinking!
