Bilingual Human Resources Generalist

Adecco is currently seeking a Bilingual Human Resources Generalist in Ottawa, ON. The successful candidate must be comfortable in a fast-paced, on-site work environment.

The Bilingual Human Resources Generalist will have the following responsibilities:

• Develop and integrate HR processes within the faculty/service framework;

• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and practices;

• Align local HR practices with faculty/service objectives;

• Provide expert advice on employee relations matters;

• Conduct investigations and recommend actions for disciplinary and performance issues;

• Participate in grievance resolution and collective bargaining processes;

• Facilitate new employee orientation sessions;

• Promote understanding of HR policies and practices;

• Assess training needs and collaborate on development plans;

• Monitor and report on training activities within the faculty/service;

• Support management and staff in performance appraisal processes;

• Recommend actions to enhance employee performance and growth;

 

The Bilingual Human Resources Generalist must meet the following mandatory requirements: 

• Must have knowledge of HR principles acquired through postsecondary education or equivalent experience;

• Must have a minimum 3+ years of HR experience;

• Must have proficiency in staffing, classification, employee relations, or organizational development;

• Must have familiarity with HR laws and practices, including collective agreements;

• Strong computer skills and proficiency in office software;

• Analytical and problem-solving abilities;

• Ability to work independently and in a team under pressure;

• Initiative, leadership, and sound judgment;

• Excellent organizational and communication skills;

• Discretion and tact in handling confidential information;

• Bilingual proficiency in French and English (spoken and written);
