Adecco is currently hiring for a temporary, full-time Associate Technician for our client in Ottawa, ON.

This is a 1-year contract opportunity with a 12-hour rotating night shift. As a Associate Technician, you will play a key role in supporting production operations and laboratory activities. Your responsibilities will include preparing solutions, maintaining equipment, and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in day-to-day laboratory activities, including equipment checks, cleaning, and restocking supplies

  • Follow standard procedures to perform tasks, relying on instructions and established guidelines

  • Prepare solutions daily as required

  • Conduct regular equipment maintenance and troubleshoot issues

  • Monitor product flow, raw materials, and consumables to meet production targets

  • Ensure compliance with workplace operating, quality, and EH&S procedures

  • Assist with Health and Safety audits, recording and reporting findings to the supervisor

  • Plan and organize routine and non-routine tasks to meet work schedules

  • Provide suggestions for process improvements to leadership

  • Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Must be eligible to reside and work within Canada

  • 2–3-year college diploma in a related field preferred

  • 0–2 years of relevant work experience in a technical role

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and prioritization skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities

  • Knowledge of safety and health procedures

  • Familiarity with Quality requirements in a GMP-regulated environment

  • Background in analytical chemistry, chemistry techniques, and equipment is an asset
