Adecco is currently hiring for a full-time Component Engineer for our client in Ottawa, ON.

As a Component Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring a consistent supply of components to manufacturing operations. This involves performing qualifications of components, conducting root cause analysis for non-conforming components, and collaborating with suppliers to avoid supply interruptions. You will also support investigations and documentation in the Corrective Action and Preventative Action (CAPA) system.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform post-repair qualification of molding steel.

  • Collaborate with suppliers and quality teams to ensure accurate partial fair reports and completion of post-repair activities.

  • Act as the event owner for non-conformance reports within the CAPA quality system.

  • Support investigations and provide documentation of findings and disposition decisions in the CAPA system.

  • Perform other miscellaneous duties as required.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Must be eligible to reside and work within Canada.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or Math, with a specialization in Statistics or Biostatistics (or equivalent experience).

  • 0–3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred).

  • Proficiency with MS Office, SAS JMP, or Minitab (or equivalent statistical software).

Preferred Knowledge:

  • Familiarity with CAPA systems.

  • Understanding of Current Good Manufacturing Practice (21 CFR Part 820).
