Adecco is currently hiring for several Assembly Operators in Ottawa, ON to work for our client, a medical device manufacturer who is dedicated to advancing diagnostic technology to improve patient care. If you have previous experience in a manufacturing environment and you have strong attention to detail, this job is for you!

  • Location: Ottawa, ON

  • Pay Rate: $20.62/hr

  • Shifts: 6:30AM - 6:30PM

  • Job type: Ongoing assignment

Requirements:

  • Must be eligible to reside and work within Canada.

  • High School Diploma / Canadian education / WES certified

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Able to work in a fast paced, repetitive environment

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

  • An effective team player

  • Strong computer skills including MS Excel and Word

  • Clean criminal record

  • Flexibility to work 12hour shifts including weekends

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate and coordinate with Assembly teams to maximize quality, efficiency and throughput.

  • Follow engineering instructions as they apply to builds or experiments

  • Staff manual line positions as scheduled Inspect and monitor quality and line performance in accordance with documented procedures

  • Manually inspect and process rejects from the automated vision system determining pass/fail per process procedures

  • Elevate quality and productivity observations to help minimize defects, scraps and maximize throughput Deliver accurate, timely, and legible record keeping in compliance with procedures

  • Demonstrate compliant gowning and clean room techniques and maintain a tidy, organized and clean workspace

  • Communicate ideas and suggestions for improving the Assembly practices to Assembly leadership Understand and comply with applicable EH&S policies, procedures and guidelines and applicable manufacturing procedures

  • Other miscellaneous duties as required
