- Pay Rate: $60,000 - $68,000/year depending on experience
- Location: Gold River, BC | Occasional travel
- Job type: Full-time | Permanent
- Schedule: Monday - Friday
- First three months of accommodation are provided
- Process correspondence, memorandums, and documentation using various software programs.
- Follow up on requests for information and assist the Education Manager and staff with various administrative, financial, and other matters.
- Perform basic accounting functions, including collecting expense receipts for submission, under the direction of the department manager.
- Organize schedules and meetings as requested.
- Book and organize requested travel arrangements.
- Create meeting agendas, take meeting minutes, and transcribe requested phone calls.
- Draft memos or other correspondence as requested.
- Perform additional tasks as required.
- Administrative Assistant Diploma.
- Four to five years of experience in a similar or higher position.
- Experience working with First Nations preferred.
- Ability to work independently without supervision and in a team environment where mutual support is essential.
- Ability to deal with individuals in varying situations where complex, high pressure, difficult decisions, or emergencies may occur.
- Interact with others in a tactful, compassionate, and sensitive manner.
- High level of competency in computer software including MS Office - Word and Excel.
- Effective verbal, written and presentation communication skills.
- Valid driver's license and RCMP clearance
- Ability to occasionally travel is required.
- Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada.
