Warehouse Supervisor

Adecco is proud to be partnering with one of Australia's largest combined manufacturing/import mattress suppliers who are looking for a Warehouse Supervisor to join their team. The ideal candidate will be energetic and proactive, physically fit, experienced in warehouse operations, and possess strong leadership skills. You will manage a small team, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently while adhering to safety standards and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Team Management: Lead and supervise a small team of warehouse staff. Provide guidance, support, and training to ensure effective performance and adherence to procedures.
• Forklift Operation: Utilize forklift equipment to handle and transport goods. A valid forklift license and prior experience is preferred.
• Mattress Handling: Oversee the handling and management of mattresses. Implement and enforce proper techniques and safety procedures for moving and storing mattresses.
• Safety & Compliance: Ensure that all team members follow internal safety guidelines and best practices. Conduct regular safety checks and address any potential hazards.
• Warehouse Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment. Ensure that the area is tidy, well-organized, and that all equipment is in good working order.
• Daily Readiness: Prepare the warehouse for daily operations, ensuring that all materials and equipment are correctly put away at the end of each day.

Your Profile

• Physical Capability : Must be physically able to handle the demands of the role, including lifting and moving heavy items.
• Leadership: Proven ability to manage and motivate a small team effectively.
• Forklift License: Valid forklift license with demonstrated experience in operating forklift equipment.
• Self-Motivation: Strong work ethic with the ability to manage your own time efficiently and not be reliant on constant supervision.
• Attitude: Eager, forward-thinking, and possesses a “can-do” attitude with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Attention to Detail: Keen eye for maintaining a clean, orderly, and safe working environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a warehouse or similar environment.
• Experience handling large and bulky items, particularly mattresses.
