Trade Assistant

We are seeking Trades Assistants to join a major rail project with Alstom . This is a hands-on role suited to candidates with a good attitude, willingness to learn, and experience using hand and power tools.

This position offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge infrastructure and digital mobility systems, including high-speed trains, metros, and trams.

Responsibilities

• Assisting technicians with train maintenance tasks
• Component changes using hand and power tools
• Parts cleaning and general workshop cleaning
• Supporting servicing and maintenance activities
• Maintaining a safe and tidy work area

Your Profile

• Rail or manufacturing background desirable
• Competent with hand and power tools
• Forklift experience advantageous
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to follow instructions
• Physically fit and comfortable with hands-on work
• Onboarding Process – Willingness to complete a Drug & Alcohol Test, National Police Check, and rail medical after interview.

• Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM

• Pay rate: $50/hr + Super + Penalties
