Responsibilities
This position is responsible for delivering high‑quality technical support to a broad range of customers, including end‑users, security system installers and integrators, and internal teams. Support is primarily provided via inbound phone calls and emails, with a strong focus on resolving technical enquiries efficiently and professionally. The role also involves occasional hands‑on troubleshooting of simple product issues, including minor repairs and parts replacement, as well as direct communication with clients. Onsite visits to client locations may be required on rare occasions.
- Respond to inbound technical support phone calls and email enquiries, including occasional sales related questions
- Provide technical assistance to business development managers, including support for outbound technical calls when required
- Perform basic product troubleshooting and minor fixes as needed
- Manage technical support equipment inventory and maintain accurate equipment loan records
- Create, update, and maintain technical support documentation and knowledge base materials
- Assist with editing and proofreading technical and marketing materials, such as brochures, when required
- Support company activities, including tradeshows and meetings
- Provide onsite technical assistance at installation sites when requested
- Participate in product training to maintain and enhance technical knowledge
Your Profile
The successful candidate will have a genuine interest in technology, strong communication skills, and a practical, hands on approach to problem solving. This role is well suited to someone who may not have extensive technical work experience but has a strong interest in electronic products and is eager to begin a career in a technical role.
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of electronics and IT networking (prior extensive technical work experience is not required)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and confidently
- Strong problem solving skills with a high level of attention to detail
- A positive team player with a proactive and collaborative attitude
- Self motivated, well organised, and able to adapt to changing business environments
- Strong interest in electronic technologies such as Arduino, Espressif, Raspberry Pi, STM32, or similar platforms is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Visio, and PowerPoint
- Valid driver’s licence preferred
- Australian Permanent Residency or Citizenship required
- Native or fluent English (spoken and written)
