This role is a Sales Manager position responsible for driving new business and growing existing accounts within the logistics and 3PL space. A strong understanding of logistics and 3PL operations is essential in order to design credible solutions, consult with clients, and close complex deals.
Responsibilities
The key responsibilities and duties of the role:
- Own and drive new business development within logistics and 3PL services, from lead generation through to deal closure
- Build, manage, and grow long-term relationships with new and existing clients through effective communication and negotiation
- Act as a trusted logistics advisor, understanding client operations and translating needs into commercially viable solutions
- Develop and present tailored logistics and 3PL solutions, leveraging operational knowledge of warehousing and domestic transport
- Prepare, review, and negotiate commercial proposals and quotations, ensuring alignment with cost structures and margin expectations
- Identify sales opportunities through analysis of customer requirements, logistics data, and market trends
- Collaborate closely with internal teams (warehouse, transport, operations, finance) to ensure proposed solutions are operationally feasible and competitive
- Support account growth by proactively identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities
- Represent the business in client meetings, presentations, and negotiations, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction
- Provide high-level coordination support for logistics implementation post-sale to ensure a smooth handover to operations
Your Profile
Ideal Candidate Profile:- Proven sales experience within logistics, supply chain, or 3PL environments
- Strong understanding of logistics and 3PL operations, including warehousing and domestic transport, to support solution-based selling
- Demonstrated ability to identify client needs, uncover opportunities, and close commercially profitable deals
- Strong commercial and analytical skills, including pricing, margin analysis, and proposal development
- Excellent stakeholder management, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Ability to work autonomously, take ownership of sales targets, and contribute to the growth of a newly established or expanding team
- Freight forwarding knowledge or experience is an advantage, but not essential
- Valid driver’s licence (company car lease provided)
