Adecco is partnering with a large, continuously operating manufacturing facility in South-West Sydney to recruit experienced Mechanical Fitters for full-time, permanent roles.
This is a site-based position offering stable afternoon and night shifts, ideal for tradespeople seeking consistent hours, long-term security, and shift loading benefits.

Responsibilities
- Installation and commissioning of mechanical equipment such as conveyors, packaging machinery, and associated systems
- Carrying out preventative, reactive, and breakdown maintenance to ensure plant reliability
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, plans, and technical documentation
- Using measuring and alignment techniques to ensure accuracy and quality
- Working collaboratively within a site-based maintenance team
- Completing tasks safely, efficiently, and in accordance with site procedures and schedules
- Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in maintenance practices
- Using and maintaining personal trade tools required to complete work
Note: This role is based in a food manufacturing environment and candidates must be comfortable working in conditions typical of this industry, including exposure to strong operational odours.
Your Profile
Skills & Experience
- Trade-qualified Mechanical Fitter with experience in industrial or manufacturing environments
- Ability to accurately read and interpret workshop and engineering drawings
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Physically fit and able to perform hands-on, manual work
- Comfortable working in a food production or processing environment
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
- Sound understanding of WHS requirements and safe work practices
- Ability to assess tasks and apply appropriate work methods
