CNC Machinist – Hindmarsh, SA
Salary: $80,000 to $90,000 per annum + 12% super + client incentives

Eligibility: Australian citizenship is required due to Defence work, certain security clearances may also be required

About the Role:

Adecco Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced CNC Machinist for an ongoing permanent position with our client, located in Hindmarsh, SA. This position involves operating and programming CNC machinery, manufacturing jigs and fixtures, and supporting production and prototyping.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong manufacturing background who enjoys working hands-on with precision machinery and contributing to high-quality production outcomes. You will have the opportunity to work closely with a skilled team, provide input on process improvements, and gain exposure to advanced CNC machining techniques in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and program CNC machines to produce parts according to specifications
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
  • Select and install cutting tools, fixtures, and attachments
  • Inspect finished products to ensure accuracy and quality
  • Perform routine maintenance on machines and maintain a clean, safe work area
  • Collaborate with team members to improve processes and productivity
  • Provide input on design for manufacture and assist in improving production efficiency
Skills & Experience Required:
  • Australian citizenship required due to Defence work - Certain security clearances may also be required
  • National Police Clearance is required
  • Proven CNC machining experience, including multi-axis operation and programming
  • Proficient with CAD/CAM software and CNC programming (G-code, M-code)
  • Strong mechanical skills and understanding of machining principles
  • Ability to read technical drawings and use precision measuring instruments
  • Flexible, able to work independently and in a team environment
  • Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Relevant trade qualifications (Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering, Toolmaking, or similar) desirable
  • Willingness to work across shifts if required
