Household Manager

Job Description:

• Ensure the residence is consistently clean, well-maintained, and presented to the highest standards
• Serve as the main point of contact for embassy representatives, catering providers, cleaning staff and maintenance contractors
• Prepare and set tables for official breakfasts, lunches, dinners, coffee meetings and other formal occasions
• Provide food and beverage service during small official events and meetings
• Ensure all dining equipment, tableware, glassware, linens, and serving items are clean, properly maintained and event-ready
• Coordinate the preparation of the residence for official receptions and events in collaboration with the employer and embassy staff
• Arrange meeting rooms and event spaces, including basic setup of audiovisual and sound equipment where required
• Report maintenance issues, equipment failures, or damaged items promptly to the designated embassy contact
• Supervise external catering teams during official functions to ensure service standards are met
• Oversee the work of cleaning and maintenance personnel and perform housekeeping duties when required
• Monitor household inventory, including beverages, refreshments, consumables, and hospitality supplies, and coordinate timely replenishment with the embassy
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and hygiene regulations and maintain a safe working environment

Candidate Profile:

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adopting a hands-on approach when required
• Previous experience in hospitality, luxury residences, private households, hotels, or diplomatic environments is considered a strong advantage
• Basic cooking skills are considered an asset
• Fluent in Greek and English (spoken and written)
• Excellent organizational, planning, and prioritization skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-service mindset
• Flexible, proactive and solution-oriented
• Ability to perform effectively under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Professional, polished, and representative appearance
• High level of discretion, integrity, and confidentiality
• Ability to work collaboratively with multicultural teams and external service providers
