Engineering Lead

JOB DESCRIPTION
•    Define, implement, and maintain the technical architecture for platforms, products, and projects.
•    Lead, mentor, and develop a team of developers—both internal and external—fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
•    Drive Agile software development practices, ensuring delivery of high-quality, iterative product increments.
•    Partner with Product Owners, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
•    Oversee CI/CD pipelines, development workflows, and code repositories (GitHub/GitLab) to ensure efficient and secure software delivery.
•    Resolve complex technical challenges with a structured, solution-oriented approach.
•    Effective in matrix management and team building
•    Manages/Leads a group of IT developers (hiring, coaching, training, career management, performance evaluation, one on one follow up, Team meeting, vacation)
•    Support Organization transformation to adopt agile, grow a high performing Agile Development team 
•    Responsible for team financial management, budget management and forecasting
 
DESIRED CANDIDATE PROFILE
•    Minimum three (3) years of experience in a similar leadership role, or in a position with equivalent responsibilities.
•    Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
•    A Master’s degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g. Scrum Master) are considered as a plus.
•    Proven track record in designing, implementing, and scaling enterprise-grade applications.
•    Demonstrated leadership experience managing and developing diverse, cross-functional, or distributed technical teams.
•    Strong technical expertise in: MySQL / PostgreSQL, React, Java, and Python
•    Experience in managing CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (GitHub / GitLab)
•    Demonstrated success in applying Agile principles and leading Agile product development cycles.
•    Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
•    Leadership skills with ability to manage diverse teams
•    Advanced knowledge of the English language
