Quality manager with experience in the food industry

Our client is a Bulgarian manufacturing company specializing in fresh dairy products. On their behalf, we are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Quality Manager to join their team in a leading food production facility. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring the highest quality and safety standards across all company operations, including full oversight of our in-house laboratory.



Key Responsibilities:

 

• Manage and control the quality management system (QMS) in compliance with industry standards including IFS, BRC, and other relevant certifications.
• Lead and develop the quality control laboratory team, ensuring testing protocols and procedures meet regulatory and internal standards.
• Coordinate internal and external audits, follow up on non-conformities and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure full traceability, quality documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives across production lines.
• Act as the main liaison for quality-related communication with customers, auditors, and regulatory bodies.

Requirements:

 

• University degree in Food Technology, Biology, Chemistry, or other relevant scientific discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in a quality management role in a food production company.
• Proven track record in managing and maintaining certifications such as IFS, BRC, and other food safety standards.
• Demonstrated experience in team leadership and staff development.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English is mandatory.
