Collections Specialist with Spanish

Our partner is expanding their international finance operations in Sofia and is looking for a motivated, detail‑oriented, and customer‑focused Collections Specialist with Spanish & English. If you enjoy communication, problem‑solving, and working in a fast‑paced multicultural environment, this role offers an excellent opportunity to grow within a global organization.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of customer accounts, track overdue items, and reduce credit risk.
- Communicate proactively with customers to follow up on outstanding balances and negotiate payment plans.
- Prepare and maintain AR aging reports and support month‑end closing activities within the O2C cycle.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams (Commercial, Middle Office, AP/AR, RTR) to resolve disputes and ensure timely actions.
- Support process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and standardization of collections activities.
Requirements:
- Excellent Spanish (B2) and conversational English (minimum B1).
- At least 3 years of experience in Customer Support, Customer Service, or other client‑facing roles.
- Experience in Collections, Accounts Receivable, Billing, or O2C processes is a strong advantage.
- Good command of Excel (basic reporting, lookups, data checks).
- Practical experience handling customer inquiries, payment issues, escalations, and dispute resolution.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and problem‑solving skills; ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline‑driven, KPI‑oriented environment.
