Environmental policy
Although our business of providing HR services is principally considered to be of low ecological impact, we recognise that providing over 750,000 people with work every day does have an effect on the environment.
Therefore, we are committed to environmental responsibility and take steps to reinforce this commitment.
Wherever we are operational, the applicable environmental regulations and laws will be regarded as setting the minimum standards of environmental performance.
Furthermore, we work to minimise the environmental impact of our branches and offices around the world by reducing emissions and waste.
To achieve this we seek to decrease consumption of energy and materials. In particular, this means for our business:
- saving, where practicable, electric and fossil energy used to keep our offices and their infrastructure running
- reducing the amount of paper used and increasing the use of electronic documents
- increasing the proportion of environmentally friendly paper where paper is still needed
- encouraging the re-use and recycling of paper
- encouraging the use and recycling of other recyclable products
- encouraging our Business Units to incorporate environmental considerations into the procurement of goods and services.
These environmental commitments will be reported in the Adecco Group's sustainability reports.
