Disability and employment
For many years, Adecco has been committed to helping people with disabilities into employment. We are a founding member of “Business and Disability”, a European network of companies involved in helping disabled people access the labour market. Further expanding our Disability & Skills programmes, we initiated similar programmes in Argentina, Belgium, France, Italy, Japan, Spain, USA and Argentina. securing employment for about 10,000 workers with disabilities.
Adecco provides further training for colleagues on the specific nature of disabilities by building partnerships with national associations and NGOs. Clients are given guidance about how to welcome someone with a particular disability onto their team, and prepare the working environment appropriately. To further understanding, we share real examples of how people with disabilities successfully use their skills at work.
- Adecco Group France and Agefiph (the most important association in France for inclusion of professional people with disabilities) extended their collaboration agreement. Adecco Group France added some innovative services, including a dedicated Internet platform “Trilogie” for disabled job seekers.
- Adecco USA was honoured to accept the Henry Viscardi Jr. Legacy Award from Abilities Inc., in recognition of its achievements in employing and supporting individuals with disabilities.
