Adecco people
We aim to inspire individuals and organisations to work more effectively and efficiently, and create greater choice in the domain of work, for the benefit of all concerned. As the world's largest employment services group – a business that has a positive impact on millions of people every year – we are conscious of our global responsibilities.
Our core values: respect, responsibility, honesty, integrity
-
We respect the rights and dignity of all people and organisations by being fair, just and compassionate.
-
We take responsibility for our actions and hold ourselves and each other accountable for what we say and do.
-
We communicate in an honest way with our colleagues, employees, investors, customers, suppliers, governments and the communities in which we work.
-
We act with integrity by demonstrating the courage and strength of character to do what is right, even when it is difficult or unpopular.
Participating in the Global Compact
"We were the first in our industry to sign on to the United Nations Global Compact in 2003, and we have a continuing commitment to making its principles an increasing part of our culture and day-to-day operations."
Stephan Howeg, Head Group Communications & CR
Environmental Policy
Although our business of providing HR services is principally considered to be of low ecological impact, we recognise that our daily activities do have an effect on the environment.
Therefore, we are committed to environmental responsibility and take steps to reinforce this commitment.
Wherever we are operational, the applicable environmental regulations and laws will be regarded as setting the minimum standards of environmental performance.
Apart from this we will work to minimise the negative environmental impacts of our operations by reducing harmful emissions and waste.
To achieve this we will seek to decrease consumption of energy and materials. In particular, this means for our business
- saving, where practicable, electric and fossil energy used to keep our offices’ and their infrastructure running
- decreasing the amount of paper used and increasing the utilization of electronic documents
- increasing the proportion of environmentally friendly paper where paper still is needed
- encouraging the re-use and recycling of paper
- encouraging the use and recycling of other recyclable products
- encouraging our Business Units to incorporate environmental considerations into the procurement of goods and services
These and possible further environmental commitments will be reported in the Adecco Group’s sustainability reports.
The Adecco Group expects that improving its environmental performance will save costs due to lower consumption of resources, thus helping to improve the Group’s overall performance.
