After studying law at the universities of Freiburg and Munich (Germany) and Montpellier (France), Andreas Jacobs (1963) obtained a doctorate in European competition law from the University of Freiburg. He also holds an MBA from INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France.
Andreas Jacobs has been an independent entrepreneur since 1992, with a stake in several European and North American companies. Since 2001 he has performed several executive functions in the Jacobs family's businesses. From 1991 to 1993, he worked as a consultant and project manager at Boston Consulting Group in Munich.
