Stanislav Jacel, 47, Polish, master electrician. Stanislav worked for 30 years in Poland and built up his own company. He wanted a better life for his family and started looking for work abroad. He heard about Adecco and the opportunities for skilled workers. This soon led to a placement in Norway. He hopes to work for Adecco Norway until he retires.
"Since my apprentice days at sea, I'd fancied living in Scandinavia. When Adecco suggested a move to Norway, it was a dream come true. They paid for a language course and within months I was working at an electrical and electronics supplier on behalf of Adecco Norway. The versatility of the work, requiring different skills, has made me a better electrician. I also supervise and organise less senior colleagues from Poland, which is both challenging and satisfying."
Free movement of labour offers much-needed flexibility in labour sourcing. Many countries and employers face acute skill shortages. At the same time, there are willing workers elsewhere seeking career progression and a better life. Mobility is the key. Adecco unlocks the door to this potential, connecting qualified people with the right opportunities. We coach and train candidates, creating flexible workforces that can be deployed where they are needed most.
